Grill Times

Just recipes, no fuss

Add Grill Times to your home screen

It opens full-screen with the Grill Times icon, just like an app. No app store needed. Any browser works — the wording of the button is the only thing that changes.

iPhone / iPad — Safari

  1. Open grilltimes.com in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (square with an arrow).
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
  4. Tap Add.

Safari is the surest choice on iPhone and iPad.

iPhone / iPad — Chrome, Edge or Firefox

  1. Open grilltimes.com in the browser.
  2. Tap the ⋮ or ⋯ menu, or the Share button.
  3. Tap “Add to Home Screen” or “Install” — the wording differs by browser.
  4. Tap Add.

If you can’t find it, use Safari instead — on iPhone every browser runs on Safari’s engine, and only Safari always shows the option.

Android — Chrome

  1. Open grilltimes.com in Chrome.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top right.
  3. Tap “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
  4. Tap Install.

Chrome on Android is the surest choice.

Android — Samsung Internet, Edge, Brave or Firefox

  1. Open grilltimes.com in the browser.
  2. Tap the menu: ⋮ in Firefox and Brave, ⋯ in Edge, ≡ in Samsung Internet.
  3. Tap “Add to Home screen”, “Install app”, or in Samsung Internet “Add page to” then “Home screen”.
  4. Tap Add or Install.

Some versions of Samsung Internet and Firefox add a bookmark rather than a full-screen app. Chrome gets it right every time.

Computer — Chrome, Edge or Brave

  1. Open grilltimes.com.
  2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a square with a downward arrow).
  3. Click Install.

No icon showing? Type grilltimes.com into the address bar and load the page first, or use the ⋮ or ⋯ menu and look for “Install site” or “Save and share”.

Computer — Safari or Firefox

  1. Safari and Firefox don’t offer an install button on a website.
  2. Use Chrome, Edge or Brave for the full-screen icon.
  3. Or just bookmark grilltimes.com — it works exactly the same, only with the browser bar showing.

Once it’s on your home screen there’s nothing to update: every tap opens whatever version is live at that moment.
